UPDATE: Dear Birchmere Friends,
Thanks again for bearing with us in these unprecedented times. We are still working with all our artists & their teams, to reschedule as many dates as possible.
All shows from 3/20 – 5/1 have now been Postponed, with new dates TBA. Visit our Tickets/Calendar page for an updated list of rescheduled/canceled/postponed shows. Once a date IS officially rescheduled, you will be able to use your ticket for the new date or a refund will be available, but please wait until a new date is announced to request a refund. We are working closely with our ticketing company Ticketmaster, to get notifications out as fast as possible. Note that our box office will be closed for the time being, so hold on to tickets purchased in person at our Box Office, and we’ll take care of those when we reopen.
Ticketmaster has created a Help Center to provide fans guidance about what to do in the case that an event is cancelled or being rescheduled. You can also see a full list of event updates here. Be sure to check back regularly for additional information.
In addition to holding on to your previously purchased tickets, we encourage you to check out our schedule for the future, and buy some tickets!
The Birchmere Management
Dear Birchmere Friends,
We want to let our patrons know what The Birchmere is doing, to address the coronavirus matter. We are closely following information released by the Centers For Disease Control (CDC) and local health and government authorities. In addition to the usual anti-bacterial soap dispensers in our restrooms, and our daily maintenance routines:
1) We will be increasing the sanitization of kitchen/serving area/floors/restrooms/door handles/etc throughout the day.
2) Staff & patrons will be encouraged to use paper towels/napkins to open restroom doors.
3) Maintaining hand sanitizers to the best of our ability in restrooms & dressing rooms/backstage.
4) Food runners will be encouraged to wear gloves whenever possible in handling food, & all employees will be encouraged to wash hands thoroughly & repeatedly during work.
As of now, all shows are moving forward as scheduled. If a show is cancelled, refunds will be offered at place of purchase. We are closely watching this health situation, and as there may be changes, we will let patrons and staff know.
The Birchmere looks forward to continue presenting the best in live entertainment, as we have for over 53 years, making sure our patrons & artists continue to enjoy the experience here.
Please feel free to email us or call if you have any questions, firstname.lastname@example.org, 703-549-7500.
